The 2008 AFA Alliance Forum
November 7th & 8th, Kansas City, Missouri
The 2008 Alliance Forum promises a dynamic agenda during the intensive two-day event.

Friday is slated as an industry day where attendees will learn about and discuss the current hot-button topics in the agriculture industry. Saturday will focus on personal and professional development. Confirmed speakers include:

Jack Schultz, the founder and CEO of Agracel, will present Boomtown USA: The 7 Keys to Big Success in Small Towns. He began his rural revitalization research in 2000, visiting some of the “best” small towns in America and published a book in 2004. Schultz has traveled the country to speak about rural revitalization and says his message will resonate with all forum attendees. Those who live in rural areas can implement some of the examples he shares. Some might be motivated to go “back home” and make a difference and those firmly planted in urban settings could apply the knowledge to their individual neighborhoods.

Susan Lucia Annunizio, CEO of the Center for High Performance Leadership, will deliver an all-day leadership training. Annunizio, also an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, will tailor her presentation toward the Alliance’s demographic helping members identify their strengths and affect change. Forum-goers can expect an interactive presentation, which will include real-world examples and small group work.
