Adam Anderson
What is your current position? I work for Pioneer Hi-Bred as a Production Agronomist in Hedrick, Iowa, which is located in the SE portion of the state.

Where did you attend college? I attended Iowa State University and majored in Agricultural Studies. I also received a double minor in Agronomy and Economics.

How long have you been involved in AFA (in what capacity)? And the Alliance? I was introduced to AFA as a community scholar to Track 1. I had the opportunity to participate in Track 2 and 3 before serving on the Student Advisory Team. I have been a member of the Alliance the last 3 years.

What do you think is the hardest thing about being a young professional in the agriculture industry? Being able to provide knowledge and be utilized as a resource to seed growers that have questions, in a wide variety of areas within production agriculture. You realize how much you haven't learned yet, and how life long learning is so important.

What do you find to be most beneficial about being a part of the AFA Alliance? The opportunity to network and develop relationships with peers and professionals in the agricultural industry.

What advice would you give to anyone that is graduating and looking for a job in the agriculture industry? Utilize the relationships you establish through AFA or internships and ask a lot of questions as you begin working in the ag industry.
